If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from those providers. We do not receive your passwords.
2.4 Payment Information
If you purchase a Khatapana subscription, payments are processed by RevenueCat (cross-platform), Khalti, or eSewa. We receive confirmation of subscription status and transaction identifiers only. We do not store your credit/debit card numbers, bank credentials, or payment instrument details on our servers.

Your data is stored on cloud servers. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews.
Financial records and personal data you enter into Khatapana are stored on our servers to enable sync across your devices. We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus a reasonable period after account deletion as required by applicable law or legitimate business purposes (not exceeding 90 days after deletion, except where law requires longer retention).
No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to notifying you of any material data breach that affects your account.

We do not sell your personal or financial data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
Khatapana requests access to your device's contacts solely to allow you to quickly add existing contacts as parties (payees/payers) in your records. We do not upload your contacts list to our servers. Contact data accessed through this permission is used only on-device for the import action you initiate and is not used for advertising or shared with third parties.
Camera and photo library access is requested solely to allow you to attach receipt images or a profile photo. Images you attach to transactions are stored on our servers as part of your financial records. We do not use these images for any purpose other than displaying them back to you.
You have the right to delete your account and all associated data at any time.

To request deletion by email: If you cannot access the app, email admin@khatapana.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the email or phone number associated with your account. We will process the request within 14 business days and confirm once complete.

Khatapana is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at admin@khatapana.com and we will delete it promptly.
Khatapana operates globally. Your data may be stored and processed in servers located outside your country of residence. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your country. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
The Khatapana web application uses session cookies necessary for authentication. We also use Google Analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage patterns. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect app functionality.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
